Soft washing is not simply pressure washing turned down.
Where exterior finishes vary in age or condition, soft washing may be appropriate on some surfaces and not others. The provider should be able to explain why a lower-pressure treatment fits the material, not simply apply one method everywhere.
Where it may fit
Organic staining on compatible siding, painted surfaces, trim or delicate exterior materials may respond better to treatment than brute force.
Where questions matter
Oxidized paint, damaged caulk, loose siding, unknown coatings and nearby landscaping deserve extra discussion before treatment.

Ask what treatment is planned for the specific material and why.
Dwell & rinse
Cleaning agents need controlled contact time and thorough rinsing. More chemical is not automatically better.
Landscape protection

- Green, black or streaked organic growth.

Cleaning cannot repair a failing finish.
Worth knowing: soft washing can remove compatible surface buildup, but it does not repair failed paint, cracked caulk, damaged siding, deteriorated mortar or permanent discoloration.
